ActiveX control problem on IE7. please help

Hi people,

in the past few days i've been getting the following message on the information bar when browsing to some sites :

"Your security settings do not allow websites to use ActiveX controls installed on your computer. This page may not display correctly. Click here for options"

These are sites that I used to go to daily without any problem or message popping...

I'm using IE7

and the settings for ActiveX are:

Allow previously unused.... - disabled

Allow scriplets - disabled

Automatic prompting - enabled

Binary and scripts - enabled

Dispaly video and animation... - disabled

Download signed activex controls - prompt

Download unsigned.... - disabled

Initialize and script... - disabled

Run activex controls and plugins - enabled

Script activex controls marked safe for scripting - enabled

Any idea if one of these settings are incorrect? (I didnt touch them before, but trying to play with them now... no success)

thanks

You could try adding the site to the Trusted Sites zone, but be careful... unless it's a site you really trust, you might get really infected.

If the site still looks fine and everything seems to work then there is no concern at all. I get that warning a lot when browsing, and to me it's just telling me that it's stopped something potentially malicious from infecting my machine :)
