WMI: Corrupt

Featured Replies

Hey guys, I'm having an error come up in my "Local Area Connection Properties" box under the Advanced tab that says: "Windows cannot display the properties of this connection. Your WMI information might be corrupted. To fix this, use system restore..."

Well I just upgraded from Windows 2000 to WinXP using the upgrade cd so if i restore... do i go back to win2k? i'm doubting that but that still doesn't help me fixing my WMI.

I also tried deleting files out of the repository folder after disabling the WMI control service.

Anyone have a clue how to fix this?

:/

if you just upgraded, you probably dont have any restore points set anyway and cannot use system restore.

i remember that some time ago someone posted exactly the same problem, i coudnt find it cause the board does not allow to search for WMI (less that 5 characters), try browsing the forum and you will probably find it
