Lisme Posted November 5, 2006 Posted November 5, 2006 When I hide the icon from the actual desktop, it stays hidden. However, I also have the desktop enabled on the taskbar. This desktop has a My Network Places that refuses to die. It used to be properly hidden, but when I uninstalled some tweaking software, some of my settings went crazy (revenge?) and now I have this problem. I have done searches for information but have not found help. Thanks in advance.
nitroshift Posted November 6, 2006 Posted November 6, 2006 Right click on desktop ---> Properties ---> Desktop ---> Customize Desktop ---> uncheck the box that reads "My Network Places". Voila!
