How Do I Replace Explorer.exe?

Featured Replies

But, doesn't explorer.exe usually get restarted instantly if you terminate it? It does on mine, unless the crash was really serious.

Well if you "End Task" Explorer it disappears in the Task Manager Window, but there is still a possibility of it working.I mean Explorer.exe is a system program, which means its a critical part of the OS, isn't it?

Nope, explorer.exe is just part of the shell of the os, it can be killed and/or replaced no problem
