Future Internet Explorer 6 Windows Updates

Can someone tell me, I just did Windowsupdate but chose not to install Internet Explorer 7 as a critical update.

Is Microsoft going to be releasing any more patches for Internet Explorer 6 since version 7 is a critical update? Or will updates for Internet Explorer 6 be discontinued?

Congratulations on NOT installing IE7. It really is a piece of crap. Anyone who thinks otherwise should go to the Microsoft Newsgroups and check out the thoughts of those who have downloaded and used it.

Microsoft has said, many times, that IE6 will continue to be supported under XP/2000 for the forseeable future. Good news for those who want to stay as they are. No official support or updates for IE6 under 98/ME, but there are unofficial patches being posted on the net.

You might want to check out the latest version of Firefox.
