Shark007 Posted October 26, 2006 Posted October 26, 2006 I've searched but all i can find on this topic is to remove the shortcut.Does anyone have a reg tweak/cmd file or other method that will set this to Microsoft by default so that Internet Explorer, Outlook Express and Windows Media Player are accessable by default without user interaction?shark
mark strelecki Posted October 26, 2006 Posted October 26, 2006 Love that surfing shark photo. As long as alternate apps are not installed, the defaults will be those you want.Or did you already know that? Are you using nLite or similar tool to change default settings for Windows installations?I think you can change this feature in nLite....

Shark007 Posted October 27, 2006 Author Posted October 27, 2006 On a clean install, i do not have links to IE, OE or WMP.I want these links available without needing to go to Set Programs Access and Defaults I'm seeking a solution to this.I want Internet Explorer, Outlook Express, and Windows Media Player accessable by default.shark
oioldman Posted November 2, 2006 Posted November 2, 2006 apologies, misunderstood. Not sure why your getting the issue, but you could do a regshot of registry when you set them as default, import during build and see if that works
Shark007 Posted January 24, 2007 Author Posted January 24, 2007 ***BUMP***I asked this question a few months back and still have not found a resolve.Does anyone know how to set the Program Access and Defaults to Microsoft as default so that Internet Explorer, Outlook Express, and Windows Media Player are accessable by default on a fresh install?shark
