Conan Posted January 1, 2002 Posted January 1, 2002 Try looking at Internet Options, Connections, LAN SEttings, try checking/unchecking the Automatically Detect Settings tab.

spitfire22 Posted January 1, 2002 Posted January 1, 2002 Hello everyone, heres my problem, running XP and trying to start IE (cable modem) it sits there for about 20 secs trying to "detect proxy settings" then it will connect, this is new problem everything was ok prev. It's not my service provider as i have 2 systems and the other is perfect. I removed zone alarm still no go. Any ideas ?ThanksSpitfire
