Xp Pro Sp2 Connecting to NT4 Server

I have been trying to get my XP Pro sp2 box to connect to my NT4 Server (Terminal Server Edition)

if i use the network identification wizard at the end when it asks to create a user it comes up with this error

The User could not be added because the following error has occured:

The Trust replationship between this workstation and the primary domain failed.

If i say dont create a user at this time it finishes i restart and at the logon screen when i type in a domain user it come up with an error equivelent to the user/password is wrong (not a domain controller error)

2k and 98se can connect its just xp pro that doesnt

Have you made the XP station a member of the same domain as the NT server?

yes it is a member of the same domain, i can view the properties of the computer from server manager on nt4 server

i think the problem is that i accidently removed the net logon service

Yeah, that'll break it for any domain.

is it possible to restore it or do i have to reinstall windows
