Temporary Internet files settings grayed out

In one of my PC running WinXP SP2, all the parameters under the “Settings” in the “Temporary Internet files” are grayed out, that include “Check for newer versions of stored pages” and “Amount of disk space to use” in the “Temporary Internet files folder”. What setting maybe in the Registry or under gpedit that can fix that situation?

Check the policy settings in Administrative Templates \ Windows Components \ Internet Explorer and below, both in Computer and in User Configuration.
