I'm using RC1 of Vista (Build 5600) and want to change the global settings for the Recycle Bin. I can change the size per user for the moment but I can not edit the global size.

I'm using the Administrator account. I've read on this page that there is a Global button, if you open the Recycle Bin porperties. This button does not appear. Is this a problem of the build or is anybody able to change these settings global?

I am waiting for an email regarding this very thing from one of the project managers at Microsoft. Currently there is not a true Global setting but they may be adding one per my request.

Ok so far the response from MS has been that they never thought of the reasoning for a limitation like I have requested. After listening to my theories they have agreed that it is necessary for a true global setting that limits the computers max Recycle Bin size. They are only a couple days away from Release To Manufacture and it will probably not make the final cut. It will probably end up being added in a service pack or other critical update.

When I get word back from MS regarding its final status I will post it here.

That article is for a build that was pre-RC1 in which there was a global button, however, it was removed in later builds. Look at the date on the article - 7/6/06 which was pre-RC1.
