how do i get rid of the emails? sent by the forums.

ok:

at the top of the page, click on the my controls, then click on e-mail settings, and uncheck the second box labeled as Send me updates sent by the board administrator

We didn't send any mail to members. Maybe he subscribed to forum(s) or topic(s).

Go to: MyControls --> Subscriptions and check. There is an option to unsubscribe.
