orjan Posted September 28, 2006 Posted September 28, 2006 Im updating my win2k pro install cd to support my sata chipsets, integrating sp4 and 48bit lba support. The only thing missing is support for 48bit lba in text-mode of the setup. Is it possible to fix this?
fdv Posted September 29, 2006 Posted September 29, 2006 I add it to an INF.This is what the first few lines of my HIVESFT look like for example[Version]Signature = "$Windows NT$"DriverVer=06/19/2003,5.00.2195.6717[AddReg]; enable large block addressingHKLM,"SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Atapi\Parameters","EnableBigLba",0x10001,01,00,00,00[file proceeds normally]
LLXX Posted September 29, 2006 Posted September 29, 2006 Unless you're copying over 128Gb of data to the drive during the install, it shouldn't be a problem.
