muchlux Posted September 25, 2006 Posted September 25, 2006 Hi,I have problems of opening some recently created documents.They are on a network folder and a couple of people must have access to edit them (Word 97 + Word2000)Word freezes for approx. 3 Minutes before opening them (all Word versions).Saving again and reopening has the same effect.The documents are small only one page and Arial font, no graphics.How can I find out what particular thing makes Word freezing?

This usually means that Word is looking for network drives or FTP sites that are not available, so right-click on My Computer and select Disconnect Network Drive to disconnect any mapped network drives that are not currently available.
