changing admin username

Recommended Posts

I have a question regarding the changing of the admin username through GPO.

The username is changed as soon as the install is done, and when I try to login using autologon, it tries to use "Administrator" rather than "root" for the login name. How can I specify in the ristndrd.sif, that the username is actually root rather than Administrator?

Another question is, I see a lot of talk about cmdlines.txt is processed at T-12, and stuff like that, can someone explain what T-x is? and when these occur?

thank you.

Don't know the answer to your first question, but T-12 means "T minus 12", which is the point where setup says it will take approximately 12 more minutes. The entire timeline can be found *here*.

Thank you for that Ctrl-X. That helps me out more than I realized. I am new to the RIS scene, and didn't know there were multiple files that get processed during the setup. This will come in very handy.

Anyone know how to specify the login username on the autologon?
