Flashfire
Hi I have a SP 56k Banksia (Netcomm) dual PnP (BD 4065)When I first loaded XP professional I got a message saying the drivers for the modem were not digitally signed for use with XP but the program loaded the drivers anyway. However every time I shut down the computer when I restart the modem is shown as not present and I have to remove and reload the modem each time. I downloaded some other drivers from Netcomm site that is supposed to be compatible with XP. Accept XP will not allow me to load these drivers either. Anyone had a similar problem and can tell me how to fix it. Its frustrating having to reinstall the modem whenever I want to access the iNet. Aaron
Do you leave your modem off when you boot up XP? XP (may) have a similar problem to Win2k, where it doesn't load the drivers for the modem if the modem is off. Either:Leave it on during boot-up process.Or, switch on modem, and go to Device Manager - there is no need to reinstall drivers, just right click on your computer name and select "Scan for hardware changes"
