2 Windows installations on 1 partition

Hey guys,

I got my m8s PC here and somethings up with it. He installed a second windows on the same partition as his first windows so he got both /Windows and /Windows2 on his C:/ (while not having a D:/ or anything). When booting I can chose between 2 "Microsoft Windows Home Edition" choices and when I take the first one /Windows gets loaded but I can not log into it because I simply get an empty logon screen.

/Windows2 doesnt really need to be loaded and can be erased he said, but he wants to keep his old Usersettings set by /Windows.

Anyone ?

Have you tried to log into safe mode? I would just save any / all documents / pictures / music / video off that install on a cd or dvd, format and do a clean install.
