fletch33 Posted September 13, 2006 Posted September 13, 2006 has anyone else had a problem connecting to a new network when you change locations. for example if i am on my wifi network at home and then do not power down my laptop and drive to work i get to work and vista does not see any available networks at all even though there are 4 or 5 that should be found. if i restart the pc it connects automatically to my work network that it could not see at all before i re-booted the pc.thanks for any help
fizban2 Posted September 13, 2006 Posted September 13, 2006 i have seen this before, check to see if there are any newer drivers for your wireless card, if not submit a bug report
fletch33 Posted September 13, 2006 Author Posted September 13, 2006 well there is an upadate available from microsoft update for my wifi card but i have always stayed away from those in the past due to a few problems i had years ago. i always get the recommended updates but leave the hardware updates to my manufacturer of my devices.in your opinion should i try the updated driver?
fizban2 Posted September 13, 2006 Posted September 13, 2006 i would try it, i have had good luck lately with drivers from MS, if not go to your hardware vendors website and grab the latest drivers
