Making PC an Wireless Access point?

Featured Replies

Well I've been looking around for a bit and I couldn't find any answer on this.. well I did but it was some software that was hardware specific.

Currently my whole network is set up wired which I don't have any problem with, until I got a psp.

My 2nd comp has a built in ethernet port on the mobo, and a linksys wireless-g card.

Now ive been trying to set up the comp so that i can share the internet using the linksys card.

This way i can go online with the psp(a least im hoping). I don't really care if can't get too far from the computer.

I also have a MSI wireless-g card.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

After searching some more I found a different word to search with on google(soft AP).

which got me to this page which tells you how to set up what i am doing for the nintendo ds. which works with the psp as well..

which im sure would work for any other application like a laptop

so now I am going to be setting up on my other comp as well. since the range on it is really short which is great since it only works in like a 2 - 3 room radius, and even that is pushing it.
