Guest kersh Posted August 30, 2006 Posted August 30, 2006 Hello!Ive got a problem in the installation of XP tablet. I buy the tablet tc4400 and he doesnt come any cd with windows, and the backup cds only with one language, so i need to install the english version.Ive got the msdn tablet edition and on the install, after making the changes on de cds, on the setupp.ini etc etc, when it requests the key to me in the installation, after putting mine, it says to me that it is not valid, when it is an original license that I have in the back part of the PC. As I can solve it?thanks for all and sorry for my bad english
Ctrl-X Posted August 31, 2006 Posted August 31, 2006 The MSDN version of Windows XP Tablet PC Edition is most likely on a volume license media that will only work with a volume license key. The key provided with your tablet PC is probably an OEM key.
Guest kersh Posted August 31, 2006 Posted August 31, 2006 (edited) Yes, thats my problem, and my question is what files I need to modify in order to windows accept my key.thanks Edited August 31, 2006 by kersh
Ctrl-X Posted August 31, 2006 Posted August 31, 2006 Since you mentioned changing setupp.ini, I thought you'd already done that Anyway: Unlocking WinXP's setupp.ini. Hope this helps!
