I am new and have been having a bunch of problems with my computer. I was hoping to find a place like this that can either help me or point me in the right direction. I am semi-computer illiterate, my husband used to work with DOS in the early 90s.. lol.. but not too much computer work now. Our computer had the original Windows ME and because of its unstability, it crashed, and since then we have been operating on WIN98SE.. A recent storm surged our computer and fried the A drive, ethernet card and several other components. We had a copy of a SE but the cd was scratched, so we installed an update pack we had saved on our desktop that survived. I am currently looking at my computer in 16bit color, and its driving me crazy. Now that the Windows site is no longer updating 98se, I was lost. If anyone can point me in the right direction, to "catch up with the times" that would be greatly appreciated.
