Error installing windows

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

I am trying to set up with nvraid drivers on my nforce590 asus m2n32-sli deluxe motherboard, and I get the error:

The following value in the .SIF file used by Setup is corrupt or missing:

Value 0 on the line in section [WinntDirectories] with key "300".

Setup cannot continue. To Quit setup press F3

Please help.

I figured out, or realized, what I did wrong. Before I found out about nLite, I tried to manually integrate the drivers, I copied the windows contents into two directories, one for the backup and edited the other. I happened to use the edited directory to create the iso for windows. I'm in the process of installing now, I'll keep you guys posted. Thanks for your time.

So far so good. I've got a lot of the hardware installed so I guess everythings good to go! I'm going to set up the system with 64-bit XP soon. nLite Rocks!
