Newbie question

Hi,

I'm interested in Nliting my Windows XP installation. Forgive me if this has been asked already, (Too many topics) but does Nlite automatically lite your Windows ISO with its default settings? I know you can remove some components, but if I leave it to its default settings will it make any difference?

no it does not automatically nLite your windows source and theres no defaults although there are two optional presets for Component Removal . You have to tell nLite what to do and what to remove (if you choose to remove components).

Also theres more to nLite than just removing stuff. You can integrate drivers, programs, and updates. You can also make an unattended install and make a bootable iso.

On the top of the components page it says that it will remove only what you select, just to underline that.
