System password and user id - XP Home

My ancient but trusty Dell notebook needs tasks scheduled.

Specifically I want to defrag and diskclean regularly while I sleep.

I am being asked for my password - and I have no idea what it may be. This XP Home system was installed by the shop when I upgraded HD, RAM, etc. last year.

Under Task Scheduler I am shown the "User" name/id and it isn't something I've put in.

So, how can I find the "password" and how can I change it to something I'll remember? And can I add or change the "User" name?

Thank you.

If there's only one account besides the built-in Administrator account and you don't need to enter a pw to logon then this acc doesn't have a pw. In User Accounts you can create a pw.

If there's a pw there isn't any easy way to find out what it is but you can reset it using any admin account.
