Dejonaht Posted August 15, 2006 Share Posted August 15, 2006 Hi there people!I have installed an HP SmartArray 642 controller in my machine running under Windows XP... winXP was able to recognize the card, but as soon the disks was connected to the controller the machine was unable to operate again. I want to know if there is a way to use that controller under winXP, with a driver or a command line maybe? or via the controller´s BIOS?Thanks to all PS: The disks used are SCSI "Cheeta" of 73gb each one. JuMz Posted August 15, 2006 Share Posted August 15, 2006 What do you mean by "machine was unable to operate"? Do you mean not boot or boot but it says missing NTLDR or something like that? If so, check the boot order in your bios and make it to your primary HD and not the controller card Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
