Cursor shape in IE

Hi,

My son has a Dell and has a problem with the cursor in IE.

Basically, the cursor is a black block rather than the line. It's a right pain in the arse because you can't actually work out where the cursor is unless it is at the beginning or the end of the address!

Can anybody tell me how I can change the cursor shape in IE. He only seems to have the problem in that app. In word/excel etc. it is ok.

Go to Tools>Manage Addons and disable anything suspicious. I remember when my friend downloaded hotbar (a stupid thing to do) and it changed his cursor.

I looked at my add-ons but I didn't have any that looked dodgy. They all seemed to be signed by Microsoft.

Any other suggestions?

Look at the name of the addons. e.g. hotbar was "signed" by microsoft (fake obviously) so IE allowed it. Disable anything unneccessary.

Or try installing IE7b3 is u don't have it and then uninstalling it. All I can think of right now.
