T D Posted August 13, 2006 Posted August 13, 2006 (edited) Send me the files or url.Look at it like this. u have to makecab and replace 2 files. Easy. But then, u have to unpack a 300mb driver.cab, replace the files and repack it. Who has the time? Edited August 13, 2006 by T D
mazin Posted August 14, 2006 Posted August 14, 2006 @ DagoI know that four files can be edited to change the boot screen:1- ntkrnlmp.exe2- ntkrnlpa.exe3- ntkrpamp.exe4- ntoskrnl.exeWhat's that ntoskrnlSP.exe?@ T DI think if there is SP1.cab or SP2.cab (or both) in i386, they should be edited, too.@ allI prepared the DDF scripts for re-cabbing those CABs. If someone happens to need them, just let me know.
T D Posted August 15, 2006 Posted August 15, 2006 (edited) Oooh, forgot bout SP2.CAB. I never edit SP2.CAB. It is better to make a sfx archive in cmdlines.txt to avoid repacking 400mb or so.Edit: I think SP1 might be deleted? Or edited and renamed to SP2.cab? Edited August 15, 2006 by T D
mazin Posted August 15, 2006 Posted August 15, 2006 When I integrated SP1 into my orig XPCD, I've got SP1.cab in i386.When I integrated SP2 into my XPCD-SP1, I've got both SP1.cab and SP2.cab in i386.I can't tell if SP1.cab is not necessary in the second CD (XPCD-SP2).
T D Posted August 16, 2006 Posted August 16, 2006 Then SP2.cab on a pre-slipstreamed disc is an incremental update from the previously slipstreamed SP1.cab.
