games errors

Why doesn't Vista support some online games, they only support the games to pay every month for and the real adicitive games.

now, i play hero_online beta and Gunz Beta.

with hero online it says at making an setup with the downloaded file. that it isnt able to execute the setup file. after 3 tries it works, after installed i ran the game, the auto update doesnt work, so i downloaded it manually. well, after log in choose server and choose character it loads a map. at the end it says. abnormal programm is running ....... error: with lots of 0's and 4's. i asked on the hero forum. there was a way to get trough it, deinstall the whole game. install framework.net 1.1 disable the e trust virus scanner (wich is nog good at my opinion) and install again. to be sure i putted out the firewall. then i installed again after a few cannout execute errors. it was installed again and i played. again it says abnormal programm running. after a search on the technical issue forum of hero i found from a GM (sort super visor) that Windows don't wanna send a patch the game makers untill vista is rdy. well that isn't pretty.

another game gunz. it worked perfectly on Xp prof. 150kb/s torrenting (nice :thumbup ) and play. now i got the problem that the torrenting stops around the 90%. i think it is an security error or something. well that isn't nice also

my 3th online game is guild wars and the guild wars factions. i didn't play it yet. because it bored me out. i played enough hours and nothing is new anymore.

my only option is to play offline games like Oblivion, the godfather, and some shooter. The only game i didn't played out is oblivion.

Why isn't windows sending some patches to the gamemakers. or is it to much work? I hope the last beta will be better with only bugs and no big errors. (like admin error). The Lay Out is beautifull. And windows has been doing some nice new things.

1 thing, it is no problem in my computer, just got a new 1.

AMD 64 dual core

7600GT graphics card

something more then 1 gig ram memory.

Microsoft doesn't create patches for third party developer code -- it is up to the individual game coders and engineers to develop the necessary patches and fixes.

And while it might be arguable that somehow Microsoft "broke" the game, it might also be arguable that the game code was doing something shoddy that shouldn't have worked in the first place, and Vista is finally "doing it right" and as such making the game code break.

There's no real way to tell, and I doubt a developer would come right out and say "Gee, the way we handle memory alloc's was badly programmed and Vista called us on it, so we had to fix it..."

i hope windows does not have to send the game developers a patch to make their games work right, with the respect to vista, it has changed alot of things that games developers will need to work out, i would also expect that many games will never work on vista without alot of retooling by the game devs, but still in that respect, Vista has been out for a long time now, game devs i would think would be able to get ahold of vista to test games on, it is up to them to make their games work on vista not MS, the tools are out there for them, they just have to use them

ok :P i think u are all right ( i think ). If i hear that tools and gadgets are out that game makers can create a own patch. its only to bad those 2 games i play a lot doesn't work :) and in my opinion the game makers should experience with the tools so they can release a special patch for vista users if vista is in RC1 or ready. And of course not everything works perfect, just like Back Up. I have to go back in time to restore, a well, then it is gonna be for me offline games (they work :D).

Respect for the vista makers.
