I am use RIS on a W2K Server to install W2K SP4 and additional features on serveral machines.

I have already slipstreamed SP4 and all the critical security updates into the installation package. along with various user programs using RISprep.

Is there anyway to add IE6 Service Pack 1 with all the updates into the RIS installation package?

Is there anyway to add Windows Media 9 (have to use 9 on W2K) with all the updates into the RIS installation package?

Is there anyway to add Diret X 9.0c and all the updates into the RIS installation package?

I understand this is a fully loaded question, but can anyone help me on this one??

I know its not really an answer but...

Have you thought about using this?

http://www.microsoft.com/windowsserversyst...on/sysreqs.mspx

It's free, and can help u install all updates you need locally, at a time that suits you.... using group policy or the local machine policy editor in 2k Pro.

I use a combo of UA XP CD's and RIS installs, together with WSUS for keeping the machines up-to-date :) ....although I don't use 2k workstation at all in work.

Regards

Nath.

Hope this helps!
