word not responding

hi everyone.

i am new here,

i am a problem. everytime i start ms word, the software doesn't open and if i try to close is, it shows Word not reponding. i can't even end the application through task manager and all other microsoft applications including media player also hang.

please suggest something.

When did all this start happening, was their any hardware or software changes or add-ons.

I take it you want suggestions other then Reinstall of Office and if needed Windows.

Clean the Registry may and may not help.

Open another Office Application such as Excel and go to Help and then do a "Detect and repair"
