I am having a problem that I believe is quite well-known, and for this reason I hope there has also been someone who has come up with a solution. Shortly put, I am unable to install Rome: Total War under Windows Server 2003 even when enabling compatibility mode (none of the OS options work) for the installer. There is of course the possibility of installing the game from a Windows XP installation on a different partition, but I do not have any XP CD readily available and, even if I had, it would be quite a hassle. Therefore I hope I can receive some help here.

Thanks in advance,

Eric

Edit: Ah, there already was a thread about this: http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=37041

Well, most of the games aren't intended to be installed on the Server Operating Systems...

I don't know for what purpose this server exists for you but it is funny to install games on it..

Please explain what's the purpose of this server and I'll try to find a solution
