Mainio Posted July 29, 2006 Posted July 29, 2006 Hoping someone could help me. I’m running a windows 98se operating system. For some reason about 99.9% of all my media/audio players freeze when I try to play a video or song. I’m not exactly sure why this is happening. Every other part of my computer system seems to be running fine. For example I can watch videos on youtube but can’t watch a downloaded file on realplayer or windows media. Also I can listen to streaming audio on myspace/music but can’t on limewire or sonicstage. It’s extra crappy because everytime my players freeze I have to shut down the computer by pressing the power button on my desktop.
LLXX Posted July 30, 2006 Posted July 30, 2006 (edited) Clean the cooling system and ensure it's not overheating. Also, a reinstall of DirectX may be needed. Edited July 30, 2006 by LLXX
