IRTxert
The resource monitor in vista is cool. Is there any 3rd party free software like that available now for XP ? Edited July 24, 2006 by IRTxert
Mangix
I am not familliar with this Resource Monitor since i have not use Windows Vista yet. However, there is a program called Process Explorer which I think can resemble it. Also, get it while it's free because Microsoft has recently bought out the company and I doubt that the tools on that site will remain free forever.http://www.sysinternals.com/Utilities/ProcessExplorer.html
denli
Process Monitor only lists processes with CPU- and RAM-usage.I really wished I could monitor all the other resources just as easily as in Vista. The other tools you can use from Sysinternals is FileMonTCPView
KewlToyZ
Try typing perfmon.exe into the run dialog you get your drive performance.Used in conjunction with Task Manager you pretty much have the same tools free.
