TruckStuff
I've got my first unattended startup up and running thanks to the tools and tips found on this site. Thanks to all!Is it possible (reg hack maybe?) to ignore a ciritcal update? For example, in my ISO i didn't install the Microsoft malicious software tool. However, when I log in for the first time, it wants me to d/l the latest updates for it. I tell it to ignore, then it wants me to d/l last month's update, then the month before, then the month before, and so on. So I'm wondering if I can just tell Windows through a hack to always ignore certain updates? TIA!

cumminbk
Add this registry tweak to your reg tweak file and it will fix your problem for you. You have to update this key every month when the new version of the removal tool comes out though.good luck;Microsoft Malicious Software Removal Tool Version 1.18 (Prevents Windows from Detecting this on Windows Update)[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\RemovalTools\MRT]"Version"="5df61377-4916-440f-b23f-321933b0afd3"
