jwg1800 Posted July 17, 2006 Posted July 17, 2006 I keep getting an annoying error 9 times out of 10 when I close Outlook. A window pops up that says, "microsoft word has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience". It has a checkbox for me to check or not if I want to recover my work in microsoft word. It also has a button at the bottom for me to send an error report to microsoft. I'm using XP office professional. I've tried uninstalling and then reinstalling. But that doesn't fix it. Also Outlook seems to lockup for 10 or 20 seconds sometimes but if I leave it alone it unlocks. Any tips or suggestions? Thanks,John
JuMz Posted July 17, 2006 Posted July 17, 2006 You could try stopping word from being your default for composing emails.I dont know for office XP, but for 2003:Tools > Options > Mail Formatuncheck use word as default.
jwg1800 Posted July 17, 2006 Author Posted July 17, 2006 Yes I could do that but I don't want to. I need to figure out the problem to this error so i can actually fix it Thank you for your suggestion thoughJohn
