iTunes (.cab problems) and oracle calendar

Featured Replies

I need to get a silent install of iTunes in a .cab file so I can add it to nlite. I've been using a program that basically creates the .cab file with whatever switches you want and its worked for the other programs I've used. I searched this forum and found the following switches to use: /S /V"SILENT_INSTALL=1 INSTALL_DESKTOP_SHORTCUTS=0 ASSUME_QT_DEFAULTS=0 ASSUME_MEDIA_DEFAULTS=0 ALLUSERS=1" /w".

If I run iTunes off of the cmd line with this switch it works fine, but if I build the .exe into a .cab file and then try running itunes from the .cab it doesn't install silently.

I googled the switches for oracle calendar and have been using /s /v"/qn". However, when I execute the exe, some of the necessary DLL's are placed in the C:/ root directory instead of the C:/Program Files/Oracle directory. The program does not run unless I copy the DLL's from the root directory to the program directory. This happens if I run the switches off the command line or if I run it from a .cab file. How do I get it to stop placing the DLLs in the root directory?
