use nLite to make a Render Farm install?

I'm setting up a render farm, and it looks like I'll have to use WinXP as the OS for the farm for the time being since I really don't have time to learn Linux. I'm thinking of using nLite to strip Windows down to the barest of bare essentials, and wondered if anyone had done such a thing and if there were any pitfalls you could warn me about in advance.

Basically I just need:

Ability to join domain (single user account)

Ability to render DirectX/OpenGL

Ability to be seen from the network

Ability to write to remote shares

I *think* that's pretty much the long and short of it. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Jason
