JasonGW Posted July 11, 2006 Posted July 11, 2006 I'm setting up a render farm, and it looks like I'll have to use WinXP as the OS for the farm for the time being since I really don't have time to learn Linux. I'm thinking of using nLite to strip Windows down to the barest of bare essentials, and wondered if anyone had done such a thing and if there were any pitfalls you could warn me about in advance.Basically I just need:Ability to join domain (single user account)Ability to render DirectX/OpenGLAbility to be seen from the networkAbility to write to remote sharesI *think* that's pretty much the long and short of it. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!Jason
