DVD encoder problems

Hello

I Need help!! My DVD recorders (both Sony) refuse to play video. My Nero software doesn't work, I've downloaded other software and I get a great picture for just one play. then I get freezes or jumps or garbage. Very frustrating!! Any suggestions!!??!

i had a problem like that on my computer, but i didnt do too much video encoding, i was more so decoding dvd's to vcd's or AVI's for playback on my laptop for trips and stuff. all i did though was reload and it fixed the problem i was having. unfortuneatly a reload probably isnt the best solution just yet, just keep and eye on this topic and see if anyone else replies with a better suggestion. thats all i can say right now.
