Hi all, I have encountered an annoying problem with the 64-bit windows.

I'm not sure what causes the problem, and I will be troubleshooting it myself soon, but I thought I'd ask for any insight and also provide a sort of a heads-up.

So, I seem to be running into problems with copying/pasting from time to time. Theres a 15-25 seconds delay between ctrl+c and ctrl+v between 2 softwares sometimes, and in worst cases this has hung up the system. It doesn't seem to matter if the softwares are 32 or 64-bit, the delay is still there. And it prevents the program the clip is pasted to from responding for the delay time.

At first, this occured between Windows live messenger (32) and Firefox (32), and I thought it was related to these programs, and didn't pay much attention to it, since I can always use IE, if I HAVE to.

but then it started happening with Messenger and MS word.. and then even with messenger and notepad as I tested. I have NO IDEA what caused it, since after restart copying/pasting between these programs worked again.. copy/paste between IE and Ff works smooth as cream, too.

Now as I tested, if I copy a link from Ff's address bar to IE's and from there to Messenger, it all fares smoothly.

Also, sometimes copy/pasting between Messenger and firexof succeeds without dealy, usually after 3 delayed attempts.

So is this just an issue with Firefox and messenger, as I first expected it to be, or is there something else behind it?

Trillian I've tried, and really didn't like. I think it was a few versions back, though, so maybe I'll give it another go. Thanks for the idea!

I just noticed another delay thingy when opening this.. When I right-click

a link on IE and select open in new window, it loads for some noticable time... could this be because Ff is my default browser.

This may not be related to the orig. problem of mine, and might be discussed here earlier, but I just noticed it as well and don't have the time to browse the forums now to check..

The last time I found a suitable 64-bit program for that, which I uninstalled because I hated it.. NOT a wise move, I know.

Maybe I'll run a check and report back..
