networkguru32 Posted June 26, 2006 Posted June 26, 2006 I work on networks for a living and a friend of mine brought his laptop to me because he could not access the Internet. I plugged it into my local network and it killed my firewall (Spam, viruses or whatever). I advised him that we should rebuild it from scratch. I began the process and was able to complete everything but the office 2000 install. His computer is a Dell Inspiron 8100 that came pre-loaded with Windows 2000 and Office 2000. I have the CDs for office 2000, but do not have the license keys. My friend does not have them either since it was an OEM. Is there any way to recover these keys or rebuild the system legally?
allen2 Posted June 26, 2006 Posted June 26, 2006 His computer should have got recovery CDs and licenses numbers for office 2000.
