The college I'm attending in the fall was nice enough to offer students copies of Windows XP Professional for ~$3. Unfortunately, the discs are Upgrade versions which require a copy of an earlier Windows version to install. Now, my first problem is getting a copy of a valid product (all of the copies of Winodows we have are part of OEM restore discs or are upgrade versions themselves). The second problem is finding out which files Setup checks for to verify that it is an eligible product to upgrade from and somehow incorporate this into my unattended disc--a task that I have no real hope of achieving, but maybe someone here will have an idea or two I can try at least. :)
