realized
I would like to block domains/subdomains with wildcards, something i can't do with my firewall. I can block the entire domain/ip/subnet, but not a subdomain.I heard that i can create a lookup zone on my dns server (windows 2003) to point for example *.myspace.com to anything i would like (127.0.0.1?).Does anybody have a howto on how to do this? allen2
I 'm doing this via the hosts file on each computer. This would do the same thing and you get a better flexibility as you can allow or disallow any website on any computer without disallowing it for others. fizban2
if you have a domain setup, you can set records in the DNS server to take *.myspace.com and point it to 127.0.0.1 you would create a A record on the primary DNS server, that should do it,
