Aegis Posted June 6, 2006 Posted June 6, 2006 Actually there's two problems. I'm using Windows 2000 at the moment, and I have a driver that freezes the system unless I disable a core or if I install the MS dual-core hotfix, which isn't available for Windows 2000. How do I fix it without disabling a core? I also can't get the Cool'n'Quiet driver from AMD to work. I checked the service status, and there was some sort of error. Any help with that?
cluberti Posted June 7, 2006 Posted June 7, 2006 Have you added the /usepmtimer switch to the boot.ini file?
Aegis Posted June 7, 2006 Author Posted June 7, 2006 Tried it and it had no effect. You have to have the AMD CNQ driver installed to be able to use that switch with any effect.
