thegafferazzasatz Posted June 5, 2006 Posted June 5, 2006 I have server 2003 standard and would like to know if i can get more than 3 users on remote desktop, any suggestions. Does server 2003 enterprise have unlimited remote desktop connections???
thegafferazzasatz Posted June 5, 2006 Author Posted June 5, 2006 In Terminal Services it still shows as 2 maximum connections, would enterprise allow more connections do you think?
cluberti Posted June 5, 2006 Posted June 5, 2006 No - unless you install the full TS services, only 2 connections. When 2003 is installed without the TS server component, you get the old Windows 2000 "Administrative Mode" TS - 2 concurrent connections. When you do install the full TS server, you get as many connections as you are licensed and/or the server can handle.
thegafferazzasatz Posted June 5, 2006 Author Posted June 5, 2006 so if i install it using the add new components will that give me the full service? what is the full service called and how do i install it
fizban2 Posted June 5, 2006 Posted June 5, 2006 add/remove programs =>windows components=> terminals services, you will also have to install a license server or in 120 days the server will stop working
thegafferazzasatz Posted June 5, 2006 Author Posted June 5, 2006 thanks guys just wanted some more connections so i can have lots on obviously
