VPN with 2 Servers and 3 Clients

Me and my friends want to be able to connect our networks at our houses together so we can share resources. We first have two houses with at least 5 computes each. Each of these two locations have a computer running server 2003. We want to somehow connect these two computers together so we can browse all the computers on each network for either location by computer name and be able to play network games together. After we are able to do this, we would like to allow a few other friends to be able to connect to the network and be able to share their resources too. Everyone has a cable modem with sticky ip addresses. Is there a way to do this? Please tell how to do this step by step.
