Hi Guys,

i'm a longtime reader of the msfn board and often find the right answer for my problems.

but my actual problem i can't solve by my self.

I've readed everything about nforce 4 sata driver integration via nlite and textmode but always get errors when i'm using this methods.

I trying to install windows xp pro sp2 on a computer with a K8N Neo4 Platinum mainboard (nforce 4 ultra chipset) via ris.

since i'm using the sata 2 raid controlller i have to install the drivers. so i tried the following things:

installing via textmode:

After reading this thread i tried to integrate this via textmode.

I also tried the integration by this way.

when i use this methods i always get an error like "Failure in Files.scsi.RAIDCLASS"

Then i tried to integrate the drivers via nlite like mentioned in this thread.

Then i integrated the created cd via risetup.exe.

when i used this method setup is always fails with an error like "The following file could not be found: nvraid.sys.

I hope someone can help me to solve this problem.

thanks and greetings

tim

i've had the same problem, i just install without that driver, windows seems to have no problems recognizing the sata on its own

although i dont fully understand the OEM preset checkbox, i think it had something to do with that whether its checked or not

i assume if its checked, it installs drivers that you slipstreamed, if unchecked it wont use anything thats slipstreamed??

Yes, for some reason sata loves this board. I installed my system via RIS on a local domain and seems to me that it doesn't need the sata drivers. Didn't add anything but the install started fine.
