pakupakuman Posted May 18, 2006 Posted May 18, 2006 Hello - My original pst file grew to a bloated 500MB, as I stored everything of importance from 2005 onwards. I decided to break it up into two pst's, but for the life of me I can't remember exactly how I did it . I think I exported to a new pst all items prior to 1-1-06 (and likely archived them), and deleted all the 2005 stuff in the original pst.In addition to me "2006" pst, I now have a "2005" pst file of approximately 280MB. I try to open or import the 2005 pst, and get a new folder in the folder list - Archived Folders, which contains a trash bin, but nothing else.Is it because it's an archived file that I can't see my 2005 mail? Are there any alternatives? I find it highly illogical to have a file of nothing with a size of 280MB . Thanks for your help!
olocin Posted May 23, 2006 Posted May 23, 2006 open your .pst file1. file>open>personal folders file (.pst)2. choose the .pst file (the one you archived)which usually located atC:\Documents and Settings\PROFILENAME\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook\YOURPST.pstoryour filter is activated. if so remove it
