17091977
Hi, I need some help... I have an HP PC and I read the article about inscreasing virtual memory, then I tried to do it in my PC but the values that I have in PC are already customized, so I wanna know if the HP PCs make that by themselves or what??? For example my PC has 256 Mb physical memory and it has 384 and 768 in the customized virtual memory.thanks...
Ghost_Shield
Hi,Yeah that's normal. If you want to change it to some customized value just do so. By default virtural ram is about 1.5 times your physical ram size. Its a computer standard, not just HP.Ghost Shield
LLXX
Try 1024/1024. I've recommended this setting to many users and they have reported improved performance. In particular, a fixed-size swapfile is better since it does not have to resize it, which takes more time, and as well it could become fragmented more easily if it changed size.
