Internet Explorer 7 Beta 2 (Can't Install)

I'm having a problem, I install Internet Explorer 7, & I get this error at the end:

What did I do wrong?

Something required to install IE 7 isnt there.

do you have service pack 2 installed? (for xp)

or sp1 for windows 2003?

How am I supposed to find out what that is?

control panel > system

will tell you what version of XP you have, you need atleast SP2 to install it i think.

Microsoft Windows XP

Media Center Edition

Version 2002

Service Pack 2

So yeah, I have SP2.

It is a legal copy of windows right?

Yup. Came right installed with my Dell 5100E. Oh, might I point out it's Windows Media Center 2005.

System requirements do not mention Media Center as anh OS on which IE7 beta 2 will run
