LOGITECH QUICK CAM ZOOM PROB

i brought a logitech quick cam zoom and i installed it and i use microsoft live messanger 8.0 beta and wenever i click on my own webcam symbol it says:

You have invited blahde blah !- to start viewing webcam. Please wait for a response or Cancel (Alt+Q) the pending invitation.

[u]Your conversation cannot begin because your camera is currently in use or not plugged in. Make sure your camera is available and try again.

You have canceled your invitation to start viewing webcam.

ive tried uninstalling and installing again (2 times infact!) and also looking in the driver on just incase it was loaded in another drive but it wasent so im absoulotly stuck i would very much appriciate it if some of you could possibly give me an answer of why this bloody £40 webcam does not flippin work!! thanks ta
