Outllok 2003 very slow on the network

Hi, we have a windows 2003 server with exchange 2003 and running outlook 2003 on our machines. Outlooks seems to run very slowly on all the machines, opening emails is very slow and navigating around the different folders is slow. Has anyone else had this problem or know anything about why this is happening. many thanks.

What OS are u using XP, 2000? how about your ethernet and NIC? 10/100 or gigabit lan?
